LISSA ADAMS

Lissa Adams is an accomplished strategic business development professional, community advocate and trusted leader, with over 20 years of experience collaborating closely with prominent business and community partners throughout Texas.

A former Provost of Texas State Technical College, Lissa’s expertise in executive leadership, communications, public relations and community relations has empowered  her to become a well-rounded and effective communicator, collaborator, relationship builder, leader and organizer. Lissa is skilled in working with individuals with diverse styles and personalities and possesses a remarkable ability to identify problems and offer effective, realistic solutions. 

As a native of Austin, Lissa has a valuable understanding of the local political landscape and the intricate connections between business, community and government. She is uniquely positioned to assist clients with growing their businesses in the region and establishing authentic relationships through building trust. She has successfully served clients in the focus areas of business development, economic development, community engagement and strategic positioning.

In her volunteer endeavors, Lissa maintains a clear vision for change and has always successfully balanced her career with her passion for community engagement. She has held leadership roles on several nonprofit boards, including CASA of Travis County (2004–2011), NAMI Central Texas (2016–2022) and the Manor Schoolhouse Foundation (2019–2022). Lissa currently serves as a founding board member of the Region 13 Education Foundation, as a Business Advisory Board Member for Concordia University Texas and remains an engaged member of Leadership Austin (Emerge 2010), Essential (2012), Austin Area Research Organization and NAMI Central Texas. 

Lissa is a proud graduate of the Communications School at University of Texas at Austin and currently lives in Cedar Park, Texas, with her husband Luis, bonus son Kai, rescue pup Addie, and cat Loki. In her personal time, Lissa enjoys traveling, reading,  socializing with friends and family, and is happiest when she’s sitting on the beach.
